Our exciting and action packed shooting courses allow you to learn and practice three different types of shooting; Archery, air rifles and shotgun clay pigeons. The Archery element of the day starts with practise on the Target Range, learn to shoot our range of Re Curve Bows at the classic circular multi coloured targets, then progresses onto 'Field' Archery which can be likened to simulated Bow Hunting.
Air Rifle Shooting again starts on a small and controlled range so we can get you shooting safely and accurately at card Competition Targets. Then it's a change of scenery as you make your way to the field shooting area. The metal targets give you a feeling of how tricky it is to control vermin armed with an Air Rifle and we will see if you can be the air rifle 'Verminator'!
Shotguns have been used for hundreds of years to hunt wildfowl and game but on this exciting session you will be shooting at Clay Pigeons, we simulate a variety of different birds that come in from in front and to the side, in singles and in pairs such as Driven Pheasant, Dropping Duck or Crossing Pigeon. With our instructors careful tuition you will soon be tackling the more tricky of the birds in no time at all.
The shooting sports that we offer at Essential Adventure Ltd are safe, exciting and very addictive, they help to increase hand/ eye coordination and discipline. These action packed multi-activity weekends in Devon are ideal for groups, parties, birthdays, special events as well as stag and hen weekends. Larger groups can pack as many of whichever activities they choose into the two days, whilst smaller groups and couples can choose from one of our scheduled multi-activity weekends (Link). Activities available include kayaking and canoeing, climbing and abseiling, campcraft and bushcraft, coasteering, caving, archery and rifle shooting and more.
Join Essential Adventures team of experienced and qualified Instructors as we take you away to a fantastic location to experience 3 types of shooting. Throughout the day you will learn to shoot Air Rifles, Recurve archery Bows and 12 gauge Shotguns. Our main aim is to get you shooting safely, so each session begins with a comprehensive safety briefing by qualified instructors before covering the basic handling, aiming and shooting of each gun or bow.
There is nothing basic about this adventure and accommodation package! Enjoy two fantastic and exciting adventure activities from Essential Adventure, combined with two nights bed and breakfast at the exclusive Dartmouth Gold and Country Club, including full use of the leisure suite. Set in the amazing grounds of this chamionship level course, DGCC is within easy distance of some great adventure activities such as canoeing on the river Dart, coasteering, caving or climbing.
